TELUS Health Support  provides 24/7 remote mental health and wellbeing support, empowering students to access self-directed digital resources and the opportunity to connect with experienced clinical professionals who specialize in the unique challenges faced by college students. This service is free for students and aims to enhance their well-being and retention while studying at Lake Forest College, complementing our existing campus resource

Faculty Guide

Faculty Guide to Supporting Student Mental Health- JED Foundation

The Jed Foundation (JED)  is a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. They developed a guide for faulty on how to create a culture of care on campus. Topics included in the guide include: 

  • How to support mental health in the classroom (e.g., Syllabi statement: “If you are feeling stressed, worried, or down during the semester, or if you notice signs of emotional distress in someone else, please feel free to stop by my office or consider reaching out for support.
