Join us for Family Weekend from Friday, October 24 through Sunday, October 26, 2025! Show off your Forester Family spirit with a weekend filled with activities, connections, and unforgettable memories with your Forester student and community.

Friday, October 24

Campus Check-In

2–5 p.m. | Skybox, Mohr Student Center

Stop by to pick up your official Family Weekend schedule, name tag, meal tickets for the Caf, and exclusive goodie bag. Staff will be on hand to answer questions. Snacks and refreshments will be   available. 

PROJECT 2026/The Future Alumni Art Exhibit

2–5 p.m. | Sonnenschein and Albright Galleries, Durand Art Institute

A collection of works from Lake Forest College alumni, this exhibition calls upon artists and writers committed to imagining and preparing for life beyond 2025 to share their vision for the future and art’s role in it. As we contend with persistent degradation of democratic systems and civil liberties along with a myriad of global issues, we must allow ourselves to take a breath and contemplate what our future holds. 

President's Welcome Reception

4–5:30 p.m. | Outside Skybox and Balcony, Mohr Student Center

Meet the newly appointed President of Lake Forest College, Dr. Mike Sosulski, along with faculty and members of the Parents and Families Council, while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Forester Family Dinner in the Caf

5:30–7 p.m. | Mohr Student Center

Enjoy a delicious meal in the Caf with your student.

Musical Salon Performance hosted by Bob and Mimi Murley

7–9 p.m. | Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel

Post-concert reception to follow in the Glen Rowan House.

Saturday, October 25

Coffee and Career Advancement Q&A

11 a.m.–Noon| Tarble Room, Brown Hall

Hear a short presentation from CAC staff, followed by a Q&A session and a chance to mingle and enjoy refreshments .

Women's Soccer vs. Grinnell College

11 a.m.–1 p.m. | Farwell Field

Cheer on the Foresters as they face the Pioneers!

Picnic on the Quad and Campus Partners Trick-or-Treat

Noon–2 p.m. | Quad, Middle Campus

Includes live music, a delicious lunch, gear store pop up, and the opportunity to meet representatives from campus partners including the Career Advancement Center, Office of Residence Life, Center for Academic Success, Health and Wellness Center, Office of Advancement, and Forester Athletics.

Cheer on the Foresters as they face the Pioneers.

Family Mini-Golf at the Library

2–4 p.m. | Donnelley and Lee Library

Play a round of mini-golf around the library, meet the College archivist, and see some treasures from the College’s past. 

In The Loop Tours

2 p.m. and 4 p.m. | The Flats, Chicago

Visit The Flats in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood to learn about Lake Forest College’s residential Chicago programs, In The Loop and ACTIVATE, including eligibility, academics, housing, and finances, and tour the space.

Enjoy a delicious meal in the Caf with your student

Family Move Night

7–9 p.m. | Lower Level, Mohr Student Center

Organized and planned by the Offices of Campus Life and Residence Life and the Student Programming Board. Popcorn and beverages will be served. 

Sunday, October 26

Farewell Breakfast

9–11 a.m. | Cafeteria, Mohr Student Center

Stop by for a casual breakfast in the Caf with your student. Grab-N-Go sandwiches, pastries, and coffee will also be available in the Student Center Skybox  if you need to grab a quick bite before leaving campus.

Parking

Campus parking will be available all weekend. You are welcome to park anywhere you see Faculty, Staff, and Guest parking signs, however most of our Family Weekend programming will take place on Middle Campus.
