Explore a new exhibition that invites alumni of Lake Forest College to interpret and envision voyages, travels, migrations, and displacements as inspiration for a new work. From geopolitical and socioeconomic migration to the search of knowledge and cultural understanding, these are captions of the great impact travel has on our societies, communities, and cultures. This exhibition extends an invitation to look at this subject from a wide array of perspectives and meanings. 

Architectural Walking Tour of Campus

3–4 p.m. | Begins at the West Entrance of the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel

Start your Family Weekend experience with a guided walking tour of Lake Forest College's beautiful campus. Explore the College's rich history, distinctive architecture, and scenic grounds while learning about the spaces where students live, learn, and connect. 

President's Welcome Reception hosted by Lake Forest College President Dr. Mike Sosulski

Meet President Mike Sosulski, faculty, staff, and members of the Parents and Families Council while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and learning more about the exciting year ahead at Lake Forest College.

Musical Salon featuring Kyle Ray and his band

6–8 p.m. | Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel

Join fellow Forester families and Lake Forest community members for an evening of music warmly hosted by Mimi and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Bob Murley. This special musical salon will feature a performance by country folk artist Kyle Ray and his band, with a reception at Glen Rowan House immediately following the concert.

City of Lake Forest Welcome

9:30–11:30 a.m. | Market Square Court, Lake Forest

Kick off your Saturday with a special Forester Family Welcome and visit to historic Market Square in beautiful downtown Lake Forest. Enjoy coffee and donuts, take a photo with Boomer, and check out the wonderful local shops and restaurants Lake Forest has to offer. Lake Forest College leadership staff and a special group of community members will be available to answer questions and provide more information about the College’s community connections and partnerships with the city of Lake Forest.

Picnic on the Quad and Campus Partners Trick-or-Treat

Noon–2 p.m. | Quad, Middle Campus

Includes live music, a delicious lunch, Gear Store pop-up, and the opportunity to meet representatives from campus partners including the Career Advancement Center, Office of Residence Life, Center for Academic Success, Health and Wellness Center, Office of Advancement, and Forester Athletics.

Career Readiness at Lake Forest College: The Forester Advantage and How the Career Advancement Center Supports Students

Walter "The Spellbinder" King Jr.

Experience the magic of award-winning illusionist and Chicago native Walter King Jr., "The Spellbinder," whose high-energy show blends illusion, music, dance, and theater into an unforgettable family-friendly performance. This event is presented by the College's Gates Center for Leadership and Personal Growth.
