Lectures at Lake Forest Place

Lake Forest College professors lecture on a variety of topics at Lake Forest Place.

Master of Liberal Studies program

The Master of Liberal Studies program is available to degree-seeking community members who already hold a bachelor's degree. The MLS program is designed for those who want to enhance their knowledge and analytical skills to prepare themselves for the challenges of the twenty-first century.

Contact Professor Cynthia Hahn at hahn@lakeforest.edu to learn more.

Auditing of Courses (Non-Degree Seeking)

Adult community members who wish to acquaint themselves with a subject without receiving credit may audit a course with the permission of the instructor. Auditors are not subject to the requirements of the course (e.g., no assignments; no grades; no course credit), but they are expected to participate seriously. Examination for course credit is not permitted in an audited course.

Adult community members that have completed a bachelor’s degree are eligible to audit either undergraduate or graduate courses with course instructor approval. Adult community members that do not hold a bachelor’s degree are only eligible to audit undergraduate courses with instructor approval.

Adult community members who are looking to audit a course must complete the non-degree application to audit. These auditors are not required to submit a transcript. The cost to audit is $730 per class. Contact Joy Markee at jmarkee@lakeforest.edu for more information.
