Phi Beta Kappa is an academic honor society founded in 1776 to honor and advocate excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. The Theta of Illinois Chapter at Lake Forest College, chartered in 1962, invites into membership individuals who share Phi Beta Kappa’s commitment to academic excellence, pursuit of liberal arts and sciences, and love of learning.
