CGTN America recently broadcast an interview with Gorter Professor of Islamic World Studies and Professor of Sociology Ahmad Sadri about his translation of the Shahnameh: The Epic of the Persian Kings.

In the hourslong interview with the global media company last October, Sadri helped guide the TV crew on the best locations on campus to film different segments of his discussion with CGTN reporter Mike Walter.

The over 15-minute final news piece—Lasting Legacy on Language: 'Shahnameh' and the Persian—“prominently showcases our beautiful campus,” Sadri said.

A frequent media commentator on Middle Eastern affairs, Sadri has been interviewed by other news outlets like CBS News and ABC, and has written for Al Jazeera and Asia Times

CGTN, the international division of China Media Group, has a massive global footprint with its TV channels accessible in over 170 to 200 countries and regions. Its multi-language news media platforms host over 115 million active users.
