Todd Beer tapped for expertise on popular ‘Culture Stew’ podcast
Associate Professor of Sociology and Anthropology Todd Beer recently appeared on the Culture Stew podcast to discuss recentering care and courage in education.
Culture Stew, hosted by Dr. Maria Morukian of MSM Global Consulting, is a podcast dedicated to exploring diversity, inclusion, and cultural identity. It features conversations with leaders, scholars, and changemakers to foster dialogue on building equitable workplaces and communities.
Beer appeared on the podcast with Dr. Devin Moran of Austin Peay State University’s College of Education in Tennessee. Morukian led the conversation between about what role academics plays when it comes to supporting student’s critical thinking about social issues. Other topics of discussion included how educators navigate free speech and what can or cannot be taught in the classroom from a student-centered perspective.
