The Office of Human Resources has outlined its strategic priorities for 2026-2028. Learn more about where we’re headed and what these priorities will mean for faculty and staff across the College.

At the September 22nd All Staff Meeting, the Office of Human Resources shared its strategic priorities for 2026-2028. These priorities reflect our continued commitment to creating a positive employee experience and ensuring that HR programs and resources effectively support the needs of our campus community. Over the next two years, our efforts will be centered around several key areas:

  • Employee Experience and Growth
We want employees to feel connected and supported throughout their time at the College. Priorities include improving HR communications, enhancing the onboarding experience, expanding employee recognition, and increasing access to professional development and learning opportunities.

  • Supporting Great Leadership
Managers play an important role in shaping the employee experience. HR plans to expand leadership development and networking opportunities while providing leaders with additional guidance and support around hiring and performance management practices.

  • Clearer Policies and Easier Access to Information
Finding and understanding employment-related policies should be straightforward. HR will partner with campus stakeholders to clarify how policies are developed and maintained and suggest updates to HR-related policies for greater clarity and consistency.

  • Job Structure and Compensation Transparency
We will continue work to bring greater clarity and consistency to job titles and compensation practices. This includes strengthening our use of market data through CUPA-HR salary and benefits surveys and partnering with PBCC and other stakeholders to develop a sustainable compensation philosophy and clearer compensation administration guidelines.

  • Benefits and HR Systems
HR will evaluate opportunities to improve our HR and payroll systems while strengthening our partnership with our new benefits broker. The goal is to make HR and benefits resources easier to navigate and help employees better understand and engage with their benefits.

  • HR Operations and Technology Improvements
Behind the scenes, we will also focus on making HR processes more consistent and sustainable. This includes documenting and cross-training key processes, using technology to simplify workflows, and improving HR data and reporting to support better decision-making.

These priorities are intentionally broad, and reflect the areas where we believe HR can make a meaningful difference over the next several years. We know this work will take time and our goal is to make steady, thoughtful progress that faculty and staff can see and experience along the way. At the same time, this is not a static checklist. Needs will evolve and new opportunities and challenges will emerge. Employee feedback will continue to help shape where  focus our efforts and how we approach this work.

We look forward to sharing updates as these initiatives move forward. In the meantime, watch for the Forester HR Connect, delivered every other Thursday, for HR news, resources, reminders, and opportunities to get involved.
