The Stentor is looking for section editors, student writers, and advertising sales representatives to work in paid positions on the college newspaper.
Editor-in-Chief Jessica Chang ’17 and Managing Editor Camille Lemieux ’17 are looking for applicants for the following positions:
- News Editor
- Features Editor
- Politics Editor
- Arts & Entertainment Editor
- The Chive Editor (LFC satire)
- Opinions Editor
- Sports Editor
There will be an informational session at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, in Deerpath Hall’s basement to discuss what it takes to join the Stentor; to teach applicants how to write articles for a newspaper and how to sell ads for the paper; and to answer any questions interested students may have. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Section editors will be paid up to $30 per issue published, student writers will be paid $10 per article published, and student salespersons will earn a 10% commission on each advertisement they sell (typically a $10 - $30 commission per ad sold).
The Stentor is launching a mass effort to bring enthusiasm back to the paper. This will be a very exciting time to join our team!
