Dissertation of Assistant Professor of Education Desmond Odugu wins distinction

Odugu’s dissertation won first place and “best dissertation” in the Language Issues SIG 2013 Dissertation Competition of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). During the annual conference of the CIES in New Orleans, March 10-15, Odugu was also elected to two new positions: Program Chair for the CIES Africa Special Interest Group (ASIG), starting in spring of 2014, and Chair of the CIES Language Issues Special Interest Group (LI SIG), starting this spring.
