Throughout February, workshops will help your student discover their interests, declare a major, find an advisor, get an internship, and much more.
February 1: Discover Your Academic and Career Interests
4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Pierson Rooms
Explore major and career interests in this workshop by learning ways to narrow down your interests to a few key areas and effectively map your academic and career goals. In this workshop we’ll discuss the importance of declaring a major, ways to define your career goals and interest areas, and key decision-making strategies for moving your academic and career development forward.
February 6: Choosing a Major, Finding an Advisor, and Creating a Plan
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Mohr Student Center
Build upon your academic and career interests by attending this casual networking event. Meet faculty and student leaders who can offer academic advice, as well as staff who can guide you in finding the resources essential for internships and off-campus study opportunities. Join us and make the important next steps for your success.
February 13 - 17: Forester Internship Week
Forester Internship Week is designed to connect students, alumni, and employers in their fields through a weeklong series of career themed events, workshops, information sessions, and on-campus interviews.
