Matthew Roszak ’95 was a keynote speaker at Inside Bitcoins, the largest bitcoin and blockchains event worldwide, in Chicago.
“The bitcoin industry is on track to yield over $1 billion in venture capital investment this year,” Roszak said. “It’s the fastest growing segment of FinTech.”
The two-day conference at Navy Pier included an extensive lineup of bitcoin and blockchain innovators and entrepreneurs, as well as exhibitions from notable industry leaders.
Named one of the “Who’s Who of the crypto-currency world” by The Wall Street Journal, the economics major is a Bitcoin investor, advocate and speaker who has spent nearly 20 years in private equity and venture capital and invested more than $1 billion of capital—from start-up to IPO—in a broad range of industries.
